Thanks brother Ibrahim. I just saw your article today, and I am thankful for your honesty and courage. One of the dangers we have to guard against is divorcing love of men from the love of God expressed through the incarnation and redemption of Christ. Man cannot define nor initiate love. “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). Love in the Christian understanding is grounded in the Gospel, which many sadly want to keep hidden.

Ibrahim, I am so proud of you for being honest and truthful. We need people like you to be courageous and share their experiences with this movement that I know personally has hurt a lot of people. Sadly its proponents do not follow up enough to realize the damage they have left behind. I am hoping more stories like yours would be posted on this site in the future.

Thank you for sharing, Brother Ibrahim. It is my hope and prayer the church of Christ universal rejects these movements (Insider, Common Ground, etcetera) because they are harmful to the Gospel.
